Mail messages are all stored in one PST file (typically),
what he did was delete information from within the file. It
was not an operation at the file system level.
Sadly, for my sins I'm an MCSE - sorry, it wasn't by choice - so I know what
I did toasted the folder.
Thanks to the list members who've offered backups of the messages though :D
