How about CP/M 68K for the TRS80 Mod 16? I'm not certain after a
bunch of years, but didn't that use the Z80 side for all of the I/O?
So no actual physical I/O should be written in 68K assembly and the
actual I/O business end could be handled by the emulator in native
(x86) mode.
Just an idea...
