The sad thing is that, at one
time, if you asked a Fry's employee for
a parallel printer cable, he might have asked "Centronics or
Dataproducts?". That was at a time where, if you said "Fry's",
everyone thought you meant the place where you brought groceries.
When it first opened, Fry's was a wonderful place where you could
find all sorts of things, such as VME bus cards. That aspect didn't
last too long, however.
Unfortunately, we must remember that if something doesn't give enough
return, it must be scrapped off. That is the way stores works.
