Yes, i'm thinking about bitsavers (as an example.)
That is the purpose of bin/IndexByDate.txt and pdf/IndexByDate.txt if you
don't have rsync access to the main bitsavers sites. It is regenerated several
times a day as I upload content.
A few sites offer ftp access. Unfortunately, that's not currently an option on
the main site.
