I don't actually *have* a keyboard for my Plus right now, but I have one
lined up to collect when I'm next in England - in the meantime though I
could at least see if the board powers up and shows signs of life.

Before I wonder about all the other potential
problems, will the Plus
ROMs work?
Yes, they will. And you'll be able to use an 800k drive on it. Also, the
pinouts of the ROMs are the same as standard EPROMs, so you can burn
your own if you want.
