It really depends which model of 3000 and which version of MPE. For a
good, quick overview of everything look at:
http://www.3k.com (3K Associates HP3000 site)
They've got all the info you need to get started (FAQ, etc.).
If you need any help past that, I am a recent dabbler in the *classic*
HP3000, and there are a couple of members on this list that have a lot of
experience with these systems. In addition, there is a 3K mailing list
(referenced on the above web site) and it's members are extraordinarily
charitable and helpful. One guy actually sent me some tape cartridges and
6 9track reels of OS/software to help me get my system up and running,
without even asking for money for shipping or the time it must have taken
to write all those reels!
Good luck,
Aaron

What exactly is this? It's a dinosaur? I have an
interview in a few days
and this is the system they're running. Any help with what questions they
might ask me about it? ther are also running IBM 4690 maybe for
point-of-sale. Any help with questions and answers for this interview would
be a blessing.
