I've driven an '88 Citroen CX diesel with no functioning electrics at
all. Just took the slug out of the stop solenoid and bumpstarted it.
I'll let you imagine the fun involved in starting a two-tonne car that
has no brakes or steering until the engine's been running for 20 seconds...
