It mostly depends on the type of 1.44M drive--some are easier than
others. I've modified them for use with Japanese CNC applications, for
example (1.6MB, In-use on pin 4 line, DS0-3, DC on pin 2, Ready on pin 34).

Many floppies can be configured via jumpers, but for one particular
