Should probably mentioned that those slots in the cabinets were labeled
by reel number, which could go to more than 20 for longer flicks. You'd
take a just-shown reel off the projector and put it in the rewind
machine, the stick it back in the next empty slot when rewound. Woe
befell any joker who'd swap the reels in the cabinet.
