Having a data center to play with makes you spoiled :) I've run my own
mail server on the same little PentiumPro system for at least 6-7 years
now without many problems. In fact, it runs pretty much problem free.
No need for redundant mail servers. And I certainly don't want to trust
my mail to a third party. I like controlling my stuff...that way I can be
sure that if it gets f-d up, it's my fault and not the fault of some moron
whom I then have to rely upon to fix it.
