I did this for an F880 that came without slides, and FWIW I regret buying
the pre-slotted stuff because the holes were pretty big and even with
washers, the heads on the 10-32 rack screws could pop through the holes
if you weren't careful. It would have been worth the trouble to get
blank unslotted angle iron and drill it myself, since then everything
would fit and there'd be no way to dislodge the rails by accident.
I would also think that if you drilled it yourself, you could countersink
the holes to prevent the panheads from blocking the channel and
scraping the equipment.
