What is an 'informal qualification'?
Good question.
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/qualification
says:
qual?i?fi?ca?tion
...
-noun
1.
a quality, accomplishment, etc., that fits a
person for some function, office, or the like.
...
(other definitions deleted, likely including ones Tony was thinking of).
Rebuilding computers, tracing and
publishing schematics, etc. etc. seems to me to
fit you to comment and advise others doing same.
I own at least one functional computer that would
not be so without your advice.
I'll admit there's not a degree,
certification, legal requirement, etc. involved,
thus my suggestion that we apply the "informal"
specifier, but it looks to me like the
description fits.
