There at least exists the possibility it will. I also dont have 5-800$ to spend. W/o
building something or using a consumes product, I have to do it by hand.

The right tool for this job, however is "some monster", whether old or
new. Do you really think using a consumer-level scanner will save you
time on this particular project? ;)
