Well, wasn't it actually 0x3bc on the original PC? And I don't see why a
USB device couldn't do that, given the proper drivers.
How would it? Those are addresses on the bus. All the drivers in
the world won't make it appear on the bus. Unless, of course, a driver
has some way of seeing and trapping I/O instructions, redirecting them
into their own piece of code, and faking their return.
