and 10*9! (factorial) possible pinouts.
True. In the case of the ones I've been using, it turned out to be
easier to cut and patch the connections I needed to than to just cut
the ribbon cable through and rewire all the connections. And by
staggering where I cut the ribbon cable, it remains pretty sturdy.
