The connectors were the same in all NuBus implementations, but the board
sizes were different. See chapter 7 of
The boards are defined as tripple height IEC boards, 9U, and tripple IEC
depths as well. They were 366.7 by 280 mm (14.437 by 11.024 inches).
Apple NuBus cards, on the other hand, were 101.8 mm tall (4 inches) and
between 177.8 and 326.6 mm long (7 to 12.858 inches). The connector
added 2.76 mm (0.109 inches) to the board's height.
I couldn't find the sizes of the NeXT NuBus cards. They seem to be
pretty close to the 1983 specs, but the machine was supposed to be an
exact 12 inch (305 mm) cube which would require the boards to be
slightly incompatible.
