CMU-IP from Carnegie Mellon?
The implementation I was recalling was from the Wollongong Group (Univ. in
Australia) (WIN/TCP I believe). I think we would have been using it in 1986,
perhaps a little earlier. Curiously, I don't recall hearing about CMU-IP,
interesting that there was more than one implementation. Looking at some code
from way back when I see I wrote an interface to a
second TCP/IP implementation
towards the end of the 80's but I don't
remember whether it was for another
third-party implementation or for DEC's TCP/IP (the IO system calls looks more
DEC-style).
