Windows patches??? We don't need no stinkin' patches. There aren't any ...
you have to buy the next version ... OTOH, when MS distributes new DLL's, they
come with the app's that require them and, if you choose to install such an
app, the updated files are automatically installed for you, whether you like
it or not. (Backup recommended in case you don't like the outcome!)
