They are nicely cross-compatible, but it is worth
noting that the
fast/wide LVD (low-voltage differential) drives are totally
incompatible with anything else,
In my experience, LVD drives always fall back to single-ended if
connected to a single-ended SCSI bus. Perhaps this is just an artifact
of the LVD drives I've dealt with.
I have noted they have always had a "force single ended" jumper....
