I had real problems running non gaming stuff in Dosbox (majorBBS in particular).
I use virtualbox with freedos for that stuff now, works perfectly....

Does anyone use DOSBOX?
I have to confess to using DOSEMU instead of DOSBOX. It integrates better
with Linux, and will run 16- and 32-bit PM applications. The latest
versions are much, much better than the older ones.
FWIW, I'm not interested in DOS gaming.
That was my question about DOSEMU vs DOSBOX. I've only ever used
DOSBOX for DOS gaming, and it seems fine. If DOSEMU is great for
console applications but doesn't do well with graphics or sound, I'll probably
stick with DOSBOX.
