What I usually do is image the blank RL02 and then do whatever I need to
with it, and dump it back on to the same cartridge to avoid losing the bad
block track.
A lot of work I know, but it gets around the problem (plus my RL02s
generally have important stuff on them when I get them anyway)

option to not overlay the last track on an RL02 (and thus
writing over the badspot list).
