Our news isn't controlled! Not in the sense you seem to be conveying.
Sure all the news companies control what goes into there product, but
any company does that! It probably wasn't in the news because the news
companies didn't consider it news worthy, since the "news" is coming
from two potentially "whack job"
organizations.... at least "whack job"
from a liberal new media perspective. I don't know much about either
organization, but I doubt the National Reform Association really wants
to stone people. In fact here is another article:

This country was founded by Christians. They may have had some odd
customs, and they may have made some things "law" that were really
tradition, but thats no reason to reject everything "religious", such as
the principles that this nation was founded on.
