I used kermit to transfer files between the DECsystem-10 and the 'new fangled'
VAX-11/780 a few moons ago :-)
Also, someone at La Trobe University wrote a kermit 'channel' for PMDF to allow
for reliable e-mail transfer over poor quality modem connections.
