Interesting. MITS never made a portable or toteable.

suspected it was an Ontrona Attache.
Correct. MITS never did, however PERTEC did after acquiring MITS. The
"Attache" that PERTEC put out is significantly from the unit of the same
name that Ottrona built. (I have an Ottrona unit in my collection, and
used to work on the PERTEC critters...)
