I've read about PERQs but I've never seen one; I don't believe I know
anyone who has one.
They seem "reasonably" common in the UK, in that I'd guesstimate at 30-40
survivors (but it's hard to get a handle on how many 3a's might be lurking -
but then they're not really a PERQ anyway :-)
Not sure what the picture's like elsewhere in the world, but those sorts of
numbers aren't bad for a system that's reasonably bulky and (to my knowledge)
never sold in huge numbers anyway.
