The VAXbrick is an update-solution for VAX 3000 and VAX 4000-200 based systems.
There is still some information at HP:
"CPU and memory from pre-upgrade system must be removed.
The VAX 4000-50 Brick is a sealed unit which takes up the CPU and Memory
slots in a MicroVAX 3000 series, VAX 4000-200 system, BA215, BA211,
BA430 or BA431 enclosures. Must have VMS minimum version of 5.5-2h4 or
6.1 or higher, VMS 6.0 not supported."

The board on your picture displays a unit to be specifically used for realtime
applications and, from my point of view, is thus not meant to be used as an upgrade for
typical "general purpose" vax-based applications. I didn't know rtVAX was
also offered on boards with ISA-interface, though.
Kind regards,
Pierre
Yes, I know what it is. The "Brick" at this board was also described as a
VAX Brick here in the past, So I've asked what was meant..
