A couple did wild up, though, but one of them is still at one of the local wildlife sanctuaries where he is old, fat, sassy, and loves being fed and patted. Possums' reputation for ferocity is actually largely undeserved. We've dealt with many wild possums and they are pretty much inoffensive, even though they put up a huge show and bare lots of teeth which they never use.
