I'm right there with you. I use emulators all
the time, but they
are not the end-all/be-all of classic computing. I think a lot of
people don't realize that there is value (historic value, fun,
personal satisfaction, etc) in the hardware as well. For me, and
probably you as well, it's more about the hardware than anything else.
Certainly for me. As I've said many times I am _not_ primarily interested
in computers or programming. I am interested in electronics (and
mechancial engineering). Classic computers are of interest to me becuase
they are interesting complicated-but-still-understandable electronic
systems, often with some interesting mechanical bits (disk drives,
printers, etc).
