One other trick is to hang a SCSI drive of a 1542 Adaptec or if it's got
VESA or EISA one of those controllers.
I've got a couple of VESA and EISA scsi's as well as a bunch of 1542's...
One 1542's running in my PIII firewall running IPCop behind my cablemodem.
Works forever 24x7 and you can't kill those adaptecs.
