You said it - your problem isn't actually spiders, it's that your
spiders have enough to eat. Your storage space must be attractive
to insects for some other reason, and the spiders are there to
eat the bounty. Get rid of the bugs (don't let them in from
outdoors, seal cracks and sunlight spots, etc.) and the spiders
won't have anything to eat.
