I have a battery backed ISA RAM card by SemiDisk.
It currently has a number
of Panasonic P-25AA 1.2V 250MAh rechargeable Nickel Cadmium batteries. Given
the card date backs from 1990 I am guessing the batteries are a bit dead and
I'd like to replace them. However, my Googlefu did not turn up anything.
Does anyone know if Panasonic still makes these batteries and if so where I
can purchase some in the USA? I did find some Chinese generic batteries:

but I am not sure as to the quality of said battery. Any help is appreciated
in sourcing some batteries. Thank you.
Digi-Key and Mouser show it as non-stock.
What I did on my QT Clock board was find a cordless phone battery pack
on eBay with similar specs and hack it apart. Works fine.
I've had a hard time finding a lot of replacement NiCd types that were
once very common. I was told a lot of it is due to RoHS because
manufacturers have stopped using them and have switched to "less toxic"
(sure...) NiMH and Li-ion for new manufacture. I've replaced some NiCd
batteries with NiMH, but I wouldn't recommend it in a backup application
because of the high rate of self-discharge that most NiMH batteries suffer
from (excluding some of the newer Sanyo cells). The
former Sanyo Takasaki
plant was sold to FDK in 2009 when Panasonic bought out the
rest of Sanyo.
Try searching for FDK Twicell.
