I might be able to guess who it was, as I'm pretty sure whoever it was wouldn't

The BM8L adds up to 28K for a maximum of 32K.
(It extends the IF and DF to
the full 3 bits, so I'm quite sure it goes beyond 16K.)
I have only seen your pictures of this - it sounds very interesting but I
agree
they can't have made many of them.
