I'm not 100% sure if my programmer is even following the spec, it's basically
a PIC18F452 micro, a 74HC4040 counter and a bunch of resistors. If you've got
a proper 8051 programmer, then it might be worth trying it...
Meanwhile, I'm buzzing out the PCB, then I'm going to pull some of the larger
components and take pictures. If I can get a bit of spare time, I'll see about
borrowing the inspection scope and camera at work for a couple of hours to get
some decent PCB pics. Scanning isn't going to work, not with the LEDs as tall
as they are...
