When did using async parity go out of style? It seems to have slowly
been disappeared from the scene, but I think that some MCUs with
serial-interface bootloaders (e.g. STM32) still require parity of one
sort or another (could be mark or space).
This goes back to the question about not having any additional
information to determine async bit rate.
