You underestimate the amount of stupid people who bid there, but with

Exactly. The vintage computer market peaked a year ago, about the time
the stock market tanked and all the paper value that instigated $3,000
Altairs and IMSAIs went "poof".
Still, I do agree. Working Lisa/MacXLs are going for
$400-$500 or so.
I still think that's a bit inflated.
I was going to go by tomorrow on the last day of the
sale and a) see
if it's still there, and b) offer him the $50 and see if he takes it.
If he won't budge, I'm not going to give him what he asks.
