I have found more stuff but need to add more orig or scanned or 3d
objects
The centerpiece in the display is the 2116 that was from their
hp-2000a timeshare system.
We also have a collection build around the HP 2000 that Maricopa
community college district used too.

I took a few photos of the books i have. Sorry about the bad picture
quality. If anything is interesting i'll try scanning them this summer.
I don't know if i have a scanner that is large enough to handle the field
engineering book though.. i'll have to check that.

- MicroVAX I or II in a BA-123 chassis (couldn't see the badge).
- A Symbolics 3610 [NB: I saw a keyboard, but didn't see the Symbolics
console anywhere, but he says he thinks he has it in there...

- A BeBox.
- A small army of NeXTstation - both color and mono,
lots of monitors and keyboards and sound boxes. Also
a couple of printers in original boxes.
- Amigas (at least one 2000 and a 4000 with video toaster).
- VT100 terminal.
- Several Data General 9-track tapes (what looked like
an A/OS distribution? DG is not my strong suit).
Lots more. That's just what I remember. There were also random PC
things and parts and manuals and so forth.

While trying to wrap my head around soldering QFN chips, I managed to
mangle a Schmartboard[1] and a Texas Instruments TLV320AIC3106[2]. My
problem is that I impatiently omitted flux, which I don't currently have.
The board and chip are crusted with solder in several wrong places. I
would like to offer the chip and Schmartboard to anyone who thinks they
can resurrect and use it. Cost is nothing -- not even postage. I have
some international first class stamps lying around that won't otherwise
get used. So, if you're gung-ho about soldering tiny things like this,
please take these off my hands and out of my mind. I'll order some flux
and more supplies and do this right with fresh materials.

Later versions (e.v. VIII) came with a CD also. Since I've never looked
at the CD, I don't know what's on it.

The copy that I FPUIB'ed out last summer was a 1990
looseleaf(binder),
plus some loose printouts.
CSC also briefly put out an elegant hardcover edition.
Unfortunately, none of those MFM listings of cylinders and heads will with Allison's quest for an IDE drive with LBA.

I'm trying to get my hands on a 5.25in double-sided 40 tracks per side
"360K" floppy drive with the Shugart or IBM PC 34-pin connector (either
edge connector or pin header is fine). Does anyone have a spare they'd
like to part with? Slight preference for Teac or Mitsubishi, but
anything will do at this point.
I've checked Ebay, there are tons in the US (complete with "seller does
not ship internationally, don't even ask"), but the only ones I've seen
from UK sellers are parts scalpers wanting stupid money for them (?149
"sold untested with no guarantee"? really?).
A BBC Micro 40-track drive would also be fine -- as long as it's native
40-track, not 40/80 track switchable or double-stepping (an 80-track
drive mated to a PCB which double-steps the head). Cumana, Viglen and a
few other companies made these, they were extremely common a few years
ago.
I'm on the verge of getting DiscFerret write support working (at least
for UNIX PC disks) but the sodding thing won't read anything my 80-track
drives have written!
I'd rather not borrow the 3B1's drive - the DiscFerret is experimental
and a benchtop lashup is hardly an ideal scenario.
Pardon me for reviving an old thread, but I've found a 360kB drive in

and he's got a 10'x20' (-ish) unit packed with stuff he's trying to
sell. He says he's been collecting the stuff for years. He seems
friendly and reasonable to haggle with as a businessman. I asked him
if it would be OK to pass along his information to the list, he was
happy for me to do so.
While I was there picking up an AT&T Unix PC, I saw the following:
- Another AT&T Unix PC.
- Some AT&T 3B2's.
- A stack of pizza-box VAXen of various types.
- MicroVAX I or II in a BA-123 chassis (couldn't see the badge).
- A Symbolics 3610 [NB: I saw a keyboard, but didn't see the Symbolics
console anywhere, but he says he thinks he has it in there...
somewhere]
- A BeBox.
- A small army of NeXTstation - both color and mono,
lots of monitors and keyboards and sound boxes. Also
a couple of printers in original boxes.
- Amigas (at least one 2000 and a 4000 with video toaster).
- VT100 terminal.
- Several Data General 9-track tapes (what looked like
an A/OS distribution? DG is not my strong suit).
I wasn't going to read this, then I did. Then I wished I hadn't. Wrong side
of the Pond :/
