It was about 250 yen to the dollar 20 years ago, when I bought my Epson
RC20 (Z80 based wrist computer)
And 360 yen to the dollar back in the late 60s. One of the nice
things that Japanese restaurants did - and may still do - is
display plastic models of their servings at the entrance to the
place. Very useful for those of us who don't read Kanji.
If you insist on avoiding the local cuisine, ANY place
is too expensive.
