Tossing all of the other chips and CROMs and other stuff out, how
compatible was the TMS9900 with the TI 990 mini? The same or
considerablly different?

Since the 990/4 Mini was based on a TMS9900, Probably not much. Dont know if
its enough to run DX10 though.
