I'll ship by rail if I can. I had a rather expensive large fragile item
packed by Fedex and pretty much trashed during transit. It took months
to get them to make good on the insurance. First, they tried to assert
that the item was that way when they received it. Fortunately I had
photos taken *at the Fedex office*. Then it was "nobody home" for
months. Finally, I had my lawyer write a letter threatening legal
action and they caved.
Perhaps they think there's more to be made in money laundering and drug
smuggling:
