The POS machines have been built on 5160, 5170 and lately (the last ones I saw
up close were about six months ago) on a PC Server box. I think there were a
couple iterations built on PS/2s, as well.
IIRC, 4830 is IBM's POS platform. I could be wrong, I've just consumed massive
amounts of refined sugar.
