were running MS-DOS when I worked there back in 90-91. Possibly not the best way to run the gear (is MS-DOS _ever_ the best way to run the gear?) but functional. Don't recall any '486 NGENs -- I was working with the Unisys 6000 series mostly, didn't actually _use_ any NGENs myself, but did use several old (left over from the AT&T contract) Unix PCs as my consoles for the machines I was doing software QA on.
