An interesting observation. I recall a project to make a maintenance program
to assist in fixing GE diesel engines. It seems they were all made a little
 different.
They'd written an AI program in LISP to help with the querying and matching
 engines with designs.
After it was up and running, it was translated into Forth in order to fit into a
computer that could be rolled around on a cart.
Of course now days it would just need a cloud.
