And thusly Lawrence Walker spake:
Along the same lines; 7 school-kids on a ski outing were
killed by an avalanche in the Canadian rockies the same
day. CBC-TV jumped all over the Columbia event and ran
continuous coverage of the Columbia relegating the
avalanche victims to regular news coverage.
Late Saturday night on NWI was the CBC broadcast which had only
two stories: the Columbia disaster and this avalanche. Granted,
they did spend more time on Columbia.
