Hi Dave,
I'm all for saving it, but I have no room for it, and I'm more into
8's and 11's. I'm more than willing to help anyone with interest in
saving it. I think I have everything to convert it back to a 780, but
I think that is kind of a waste. As far as I know, this unit was built
as a 785. Anyone know how many 780's and 785's were made? I have some
785 boards, and am sure a full set can be found.
I hate to see anything go to the scrap pile, and yes, I probably
qualify as a packrat, but a packrat with a limited amount of space.
thanks, Paul

Save the doors! RCS needs doors for our VAX-11/785.
I can second that. The 11/780 we have on display at CHM needs
a set of front doors as well.
?Hey can we at least TRY to save the machine (which doesn't need much to
make it complete) before we slice and dice what's left?
? ? ? ? ? ? -Dave
