few others. It's interesting that at the time of writing the embedded
system market was still in it infantcy and would grow considerably to be
the primary consumer of microprocessors. But as you say it's at least
an overview of many micros to compare or understand at some level.
I used to work with an engineer whose first job out of school was
writing for those books for Osborne. He thought his efforts were
pretty terrible, but I assured him that there was enough information
there for most to draw their own conclusions.
Does anyone know of ready sources for the TMS9900 and 9995 chips
these days?
