through a bin of connectors I found a Apple Localtalk (round 3
pin) to DB25m adapter...
LocalTalk (and PhoneNet) adapters with a DB25 connector were for use
on the Lisa or Macintosh XL, and perhaps some other obscure devices. There did exist LocalTalk cards for PCs, but they used
either a DE9
or a mini-DIN 8 connector.
I have one of these. I looked at the rudimentary support for it for
Linux and put it back on the shelf. It has a Z8530 and the same level
drivers as a Mac Plus (and a DE9).
On a slightly different thread, there were also LocalTalk cards for Amigas.
I have an AMax-II+ board - again, a Z8350 and level drivers, but with
DIN-8 connectors. I don't think there ever were AmigaDOS drivers for it
as a Localtalk board, but it worked great with AMax (I used to directly
drive an HP LJ4-M/L (Mac serial + parallel Postscript printer).
