You obviously don't have any really old systems on your network. I'm
still at 1.5Mbps, and have systems on my network that can't keep up
with that.
I can attest to that! My 11/70 which is running 10Mbps ethernet can
only ftp at ~25KB/s (and that's to a machine that's on the same switch!).
