Apparently includes software and documentation as well, who knows how much
or what it is.
Has anyone here ever used an application that required a VT62? I've
read the docs but never encountered any software that used the
features unique to the model.
As far as I remember, the VT62 was designed for TRAX, which was an RSX-based OS (for
transaction processing applications) that was cancelled about a week after its V1.0
release.
I didn?t realize they were sold as part of employee packages. Makes some sense, it would
be a good way to get rid of otherwise worthless inventory.
Did the VT62 have a block transfer mode? If so, that would make it similar to the VT61/t,
which was a custom terminal in a VT52 enclosure (with a pile of very complicated looking
PCBs) sold only with Typeset-11 (as the low end terminal; high end was the VT71).
