Vaio's are a symptom of what is wrong with the PC world. Proprietary
this, non-standard that, oddly-shaped the other. If you want to call
it a PC, make it compatible. If not, call it something else. But, as
someone said, "That's the nice thing about standards; there's so many
to choose from!"

IS a helpful post. I would love to set this up with
Linux like my main computer is but unfortunately Linux does not
support my Sprint tele-modem software that is written for MS
Are you sure? Try an extremely recent distribution; there has been progress on
supporting "winmodems" in the last year.
