You need to re-read what I wrote. Yes, it was named the Poly 88, but from
what I have read, that was because Ed Roberts objected to the original
"Micro Altair" name, and thus it was changed. I also have the Poly 88 along
with the 8810, 8813, and most of what was left of Polymorphic when it went
under. Included in all of this is the source code for the software that was
written at Polymorphic. One of my many projects is to set up the machine
with both 5 1/4" and 8" disks, and start pulling the contents of these disks
and storing it away on CD-ROM. Too many projects, too little time!
Polymorphic Systems POLY-88
I have asked a few people but so far no response. Since this was originally
named the Micro-Altair, did any of those machines actually get shipped with
that name? If so, I would consider them to be rather rare and worthy of a
separate listing.
